One of the worst parts of being a blogger is having to show you before…
Removing an Old Gas Fireplace
Happy Monday all! Hope you had a nice long weekend. Did you have a long weekend? I sure did. Let’s just say I had two cups of coffee this morning and I don’t even drink coffee.
The other weekend I made some small but significant progress in my office that I wanted to share. You haven’t read much about my office yet. Like most rooms, it’s no where near blog-worthy, it’s a work in progress. It’s the bedroom in the front of our house on the 2nd floor which has beautiful bay windows and a fireplace.
There’s not much style in there yet, only a random collection of furniture I hope to make into a beautiful retreat for myself someday. A glamorous retreat, with lovely colors, and feminine details with a warm feeling.
But until we get there, the office needs a serious makeover. Earlier this year I painted it.

In the room is a fireplace which used to look like this.

A few cut and capped gas lines later and we had this.

That is going to look amazing when you get it all gussied up!!! Did you see what Layla did with suitcases and a small present inside hers? It was adorable!!
