Hi friends. I'm really excited today because my first press article came out recently and…
Bee News Feature
The other week I was lucky enough to be featured in our local newspaper. It gets published in nine towns and I was so honored to be included. The article was about repurposing and junking to decorate your home so I got to talk with a writer for a bit on the phone and then had a quick photo shoot in the living room.
This is the cover of the paper the week it was published.
And here is the full page spread. There was another local woman featured as well, she has some great finds in her office.
The photo turned out really well. It was in my living room, so of course I was straightening up and I put on my fancy (and favorite) carmel boots.
Do you recognize any of the projects in there? You can see:
- How to frame a large poster, which is the world map on the back wall
- Coffee table turned ottoman, which I’m sitting on
- Ballard Designs cowhide pillow knock off
- Framed stamp art
- And a little bit of the painted laminate cabinet turned bar in the dining room on the right
This is the actual photo, by photographer Stephanie Wardrop.
And I asked Dan to snap some shots of the behind the scenes for you to see. Here is a quick pic of my posing. I did practice that pose, no lie 🙂
Many thanks to Annise, the writer and Stephanie, the photographer for the news feature!
P.S. Did you see my new house plants on Instagram? I’m so excited for spring. I’m refusing to wear my winter coat anymore and look forward to picking out some seeds to plant soon too. Oh and this week I’ll be on BlogHer showing you how to silver leaf a mirror frame, and will be at PRetty Handy Girl on Wednesday with an easy Easter craft. Hope it is nice and sunny where you are!
That is so exciting!! Congrats!
