Happy Tuesday all. Tuesdays are refreshing no? You've already eased your way into the week…
Best Kitchen in the Listing
They say what sells houses are the kitchens and bathrooms. You’ve heard this right? This sentiment certainly rang true in our newly purchased home, in my opinion it had the best kitchen I had seen in the real estate listings and I definitely wanted to see it in person.
Looking at houses online is fun and addicting. You find yourself thinking all kinds of thing about other people’s homes. Homes they are trying to sell. Things like – “Ohh, pick up those toys before you take a picture” or “I could plant some serious vegetables in that backyard space.”
When I saw our house listed online way back, the kitchen looked pretty new. Even with it’s green apple paint, it was updated and had lots of potential. Take a look. These are the actual pictures that were in the listing.
Not bad right? Even though we had only seen two houses before this one, this was the most updated kitchen we toured. I liked it and pictured what kind of paint I’d put over that green.
Once our offer was accepted and we scheduled the home inspection I took more pics of the room.
I made sure I knew what the cabinets, countertops and back splash looked like.
Then there was the sink area and its window.

The island area had some open storage and a cupboard. A good space for baskets I thought.
There is this wall space where I pictured putting our little bistro table and chairs. I love the two doors leading to the backyard.
That was our kitchen before. It’s since received a paint and decor makeover. Come back to see what I did with it next.
Hi, Jessica, nice to meet you on Twitter! Now, I want to see what you did with that kitchen. I will definitely have to check back. HOpe you’ll come & visit me sometime if you haven’t already!
Oh, never mind! I see my blog button over there under blog parties. Thanks so much! Look forward to getting to know you.
