Holiday Decorations in the Dining Room
Continuing with decorating week, now that you’ve seen the mantel, let’s walk over to the dining room shall we? You might have read about my dining room before and how I’m still trying to figure out just what to do with it. What colors to paint, what to do with these 110-year-old wood slats I have in there, what kind of feel I want to room to have. Suggestions welcome in the comments. While I figure that out, I decorate it for the seasons and have put together a holiday dining room. For Christmas I went with some red, green and gold. Red in the berries that I love, green in the garland and gold in the accessories.

In the basket are the holiday greetings we receive from friends and family. Send one my way, it will end up in the basket.

Since we only have an overhead light in the dining room, maybe I’ll leave these twinkle lights up all year. The banner on the mirror was made by me many years ago. It says PEACE. The letters are beads strung on wire formed to letter shapes. They are attached to the ribbon.

This is the first time I’ve decorated this space for the holidays here in our fist home and it has been so much fun! Thanks for touring the holiday dining room with me.
