Discoveries in the Garden

Happy day after a long weekend 🙂 I hope you had a nice time doing some fun things, I had a wonderful weekend and am loving this warm weather we are having. It’s been 80+ here for the past few days, finally!

All the rain has stopped and it’s turned nice so I had the chance to get into the garden.  Since we haven’t lived our house for one full year yet, we are still discovering new plants that are blooming in May and it’s delightful.

Our mystery plants on the side of the garage,

have turned out to be these.

And even though I know what they look like, I still don’t know what they are. Wonderful readers, chime in.

Our shady area behind the garage has filled in quite nicely with hostas and ivy. I love ivy, I’ve tried to grow it before but haven’t had this luck.

We even got the rain barrel in and with the rain we’ve been having it is sure to fill up soon.

No garden would be complete without some herbs. This tiny basil plant is doing well so far. I love the smell of basil don’t you?

What was once a cluster of green leaves in the front of the house,

is now blooming these beautiful purple iris every few days.

We have greenery all around including the side of the house.
