Glitter Old Christmas Lights
Hello all and happy December Monday. Although my posts have been a litte far and few between these days it doesn’t mean there isn’t tons of activity happening behind the scenes around here. One project I finished last month actually are my glitter old Christmas lights. It’s a Pinterest inspiration, surprise surprise!
This project is very simple, requiring only three supplies. Bulbs, glue and glitter. Oh, a brush and glass jar to display them help too.
I had these bulbs from when my grandfather moved one time and kept them for a holiday craft project. They actually do work, and I had almost a whole strand. I even contemplated putting them back on the strand after I glittered them, but accidentally popped a bulb {and the strand} when I was putting one in. Those old wires can be tricky, so be careful. I kept all the blue, green and white ones that I liked.
Again, this holiday craft is easy peasy, just paint some glue on the bulbs.
And then sprinkle your glitter loving heart away.
Of course the glue will dry clear and so you can put on as much sparkle as you want. Let them dry and just like that you have a jar full of happiness. Now you know how to glitter old Christmas lights.
They are living in the dining room right now while I put it back together after the chandelier hanging on Saturday which was a success. I know the room will be done someday and I can get holiday decorations in there soon. Until then, a little glitter will make me happy 🙂
The little glittered bulbs look darling 🙂
These are really cute! I love they were your granpa’s too – very sentimental 🙂
Wow! You are a Christmas crafting genius! So glad I found your project via Centsational Girl.
Please stop by for a visit to my blog. I am currently in the midst of a Gifts to Make series.

I hope you will find the time to come visit my place and do the same. Whilst I am here I will wish you a very Merry Christmas just in case I dont get the chance later. Take Care Cheers SpecialK XoXo
Very nice! I love the look of old Christmas bulbs, but we don’t have a tree. Now I know that I can display them in another way!
