Halloween Around the House
Happy Halloween friends! I hope you are having a spooky day. What are you up to this Hallow’s Eve?
I’m lounging in the kitchen this morning because the stove was just on from me baking pies and it is nice and cozy in here.
I got a Williams Sonoma pumpkin pie pocket on sale last year and have been wanting to make the little pies and finally got the chance this year. They look pretty good on the cooling rack right now. They will be gobbled up at a family party later today.

I haven’t yet shown you my Halloween fun around the nest. The mantle got a little spooked out with some paper cut out bats hung up with painters tape and simple black and white items. *Note to those with original wood, don’t put tape directly on the woodwork. We learned this the hard way upstairs while we were painting.

There are lanterns, spooky saying on rocks and skeleton keys.

I straight up stole this idea from PB, the chalkboard rocks. They used to live in the garden 🙂

The Halloween sign is from a gift shop in Angelica, New York. I love having a mantel to put it on.

My chalkboard frame got put to work showing directions to Spooky Hollow 🙂

I sprinkled other spooky little touches around the house to remind us of the season. This little lamp is on a table in our bedroom.

These candy corn flower pots adorn the dresser in the guest room. I use them for silver/plastic ware when we have parties. {You can barely see the price written on the maroon lamp. It’s from the thrift store and I don’t think it’s staying that color, but I’m not sure yet. The shade is destined for my bedroom.}

Even the living room got some decor on the end tables. The skull mask is from Pier 1. The mummy flower pot on the bottom shelf I made a few years ago. It’s painted black with eyes and first aid gauze wrapped around the pot.

That’s my Halloween tour for the year. And now off to serve up some mini pies at the family party. What are you up to this Halloween day?
those were some good pies…
