Home Office Gallery Wall
Before I begin showing you my forever-in-waiting gallery wall in my home office, I have to provide I disclaimer. I don’t speak French! But I found these letters at an furniture warehouse and just had to add them to the wall, even if the word wasn’t in English.
It’s been forever since I gave an update to my home office. Now that Cora is getting bigger (3 months Monday!), we have a more regular routine and I can get back to projects around the house when she sleeps.
Last we left my home office makeover, I had made over the fireplace. Granted it’s a non-working fireplace, but it adds a beautiful architectural element to the room. I took a risk and painted the old brick and added salvaged art above the mantel.
To the left of the fireplace is a corner with a wall perfectly suited to hang art and 3-D elements, which I love hanging on walls. It started as a small collection of things I had and two tea towels-turned artwork from my favorite movie.
Now if you know where this quote is from, we can be friends forever 🙂
I found these towels from Brookish on Etsy and with two empty frames and some spray paint, wall art was born. P.S. The quote is from Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice of course and Pemberly, well, who wouldn’t want to live there?
I slowly added more pieces and when I found these letters at a furniture store, I knew they were the finishing touch, even if the word wasn’t in English. It was right after our trip to France, so I had languages on the brain.
They originally had lights in them, but I wasn’t going to get them to work, so I took them out and replaced the fronts of them. On the inside of the E is the word “furniture” spelled out, with the e circled, so I imagine that is what they were used to spell in a sign someplace.
Many of the items on here are attached to the wall with command strips, including the letters. I have a great technique for how to hang items on plaster walls, but I prefer to put in a few holes as possible.
This is one of my favorite spots in the house. I love the way it all came together. Now that the fireplace is done, the curtains are up and this wall is finished, I’ll show the room reveal next.
See the fireplace makeover HERE and come back soon to see the rest of the space.
