Happy Tuesday all. Tuesdays are refreshing no? You've already eased your way into the week…
Kitchen Art
Our kitchen is one of the most used room in our home. Probably in yours too right? Because we spend so much time there, the kitchen was one of the first rooms I painted just before we moved in. Since then I’ve been adding and subtracting some things here and there. One of them is the art on the walls.
So far I’ve put up the plates our friends and family decorated for us at our housewarming party. {Here is the how to.}
And I made a calendar so we could keep track of our appointments and such.
But the wall next to the calendar was looking a little blank.
I love 3 D art and wanted to make something fun for that space. By 3 D I mean something besides a framed photo or a piece of art. And I had an idea of just the thing. I got some paper mache ready-to-finish letters on sale at the craft store and used some silver paint to color them. On the backs I glued hangers and simply put them up.
It’s a reminder to eat! One of the most fun activities in the kitchen right? The Chef had a very creative idea about how to use these letters. He said after we eat we can rearrange them to say this:
Isn’t that funny? And then later after dinner when our guests are relaxing we can arrange them to say this:

I think it looks pretty fun next to the calendar, I love how it fills the space.

Next I’ll tackle that space on the left of the calendar. Any ideas for it?

Love the “EAT.” I wanna do those in my kitchen with a big spoon and fork! I’m hoping to score at GW!
