Welcome to my holiday home tour, where my old house's halls are decked in my…
Little Girls Christmas Bedroom
Hi friends and happy holidays!
Today I’m sharing a little girl’s Christmas bedroom, which is my daughter Cora’s. Her bedroom is my favorite in our home. It has bay windows and even a fireplace, making it the perfect spot to decorate especially at Christmas time.

Since my kids have gotten older (as of writing this they are 5 and 7), it’s finally fun to decorate with them – even if they do put all the ornaments on the same spot on the tree 🙂
They still believe in all the magic of the season and I love making memories with them these brief weeks of the year.
This week some friends and I are doing a holiday home tour so be sure to check the info at the bottom of this post to see all of their gorgeous homes decorated inside and out!
Here is Cora’s room. It’s kind of like a sugarplum fairy garden. Her walls are light pink, the fireplace is white and she has colorful curtains and white accessories.

While these aren’t traditional holiday colors, it’s fun to do something new and use pink, purple, and black to create a festive space for her to enjoy.
Decorating with new colors gives you more ideas of how to create a festive atmosphere with things you wouldn’t normally use! It’s always fun (and free) to take things from around your home and use them in new places. We did that here with the stools, and some pillows.

A couple of notes about this room:
I found the head and footboards at the thift store for $15. I stripped off one layer of paint then sanded it down and sprayed on a white enamel paint (in a spray tent in our basement during the winter of all times of the year). I love it and she was so excited to get her big girl bed for her birthday a couple of years ago.

This black chair is a recent makeover. I rescued it from the curb at the neighbor’s house and have it 2 coats of Coal Black Fusion Mineral paint. Then I pinned up new fabric and sewed the gray cushion covers. Cora is going to love reading in that chair. The Christmas countdown pillow is a HomeGoods find. And a great way for the kids to understand when the holidays are coming, since they ask daily when Santa will be here!

The fireplace is cracked from (what we assume) is the house settling years ago. When we moved in, it was raw brick but I painted it. First time I did that! Our house was built in 120 so we do have some quirks like this, but we love it.

I’ve made all of those trees in the fireplace over the years. Some have fur, feathers, trim, paint, ribbon and other items on them. They are an easy craft, read about how to make Christmas trees here.
We get creative over the seasons and put different things in the firebox, since it’s a non-working fireplace.

Since there are lots of colors going on in this room, I don’t go overboard in making things match. I let the colorful curtains guide things and also make sure the items are things Cora wants. I love getting her involved in what her own space is like.

Now that this room is styled, it’s off to Cole’s room because he’s asked me for LOTS of holiday decor in his space 🙂

What a perfect and fun little girls bedroom. Love her fireplace and feather tree. I am sure she loves them too.
What a beautiful little girl’s room! Such a fun space to decorate with that fireplace, Cora is a lucky little lady! I love all of these beautiful colors and the mix is fabulous!
That was a magical place. I can see why it’s your favorite bedroom in the house. And I love that it’s so old. They just don’t build them like that anymore – quirks and all, it’s so cute!
This is all so cute and fun! I’m sure your daughter loves her pretty bedroom so much! My daughter so much more so than my sons always spent tons of time in her room doing arts and crafts, reading and playing. Bedrooms can be such a haven for kids and you’ve made this room so special and happy for your little girl! Hope you all enjoy the Christmas season!
Such a sweet and cheerful room! And what a find that bed was–I absolutely love it! Thanks so much for touring with us and Merry (early) Christmas!
Beautiful room! She’s so lucky to have such an awesome room!
