During the holiday season I find myself wanting sparkle in the house. Sparkly ornaments, sparkly…
Making Mercury Glass
This season I just have the urge to have mercury glass in my home. It’s a warm and classy look on objects that can bring lots of character to your fall and holiday decorating.
And KarriAnne at Thistlewood Cottage made mercury glass on a pumpkin too. Perfect for this time of year.

Laughing at myself!
A few years ago, before I even knew DIY & Craft blogs existed, I purchased this really cute, fluted metallic lime green & silver votive holder. I eagerly waited for dark to light a candle. All I could think of when I viewed it lit up was the store was selling pretty banged up merchandise! The insides appeared to have been flaked off! Yeesh!
Fast forward to my introduction to the world of blogs and I find out it was faux mercury glass and supposed to look like that!
I think it’s time to try it myself and see what happens!
