I'm pretty sure Dan and I are about the slowest renovators out there. How is…
New Bathroom Lights + Renovation Updates
Although the progress in our basement bathroom has been really slow, I finally have an update for you today. We have lights! Thanks to our good friend, and go-to electrician Nick, we had our new lights installed the other week. And I also got a chance to take daylight pictures of the space, so you can see what it really looks like. All the past pics of it were at night {you know that’s when DIY happens}, but not anymore. Thanks to the wonder of shutter delay.
We got two of these sconces from the folks at DecorUSA. I wrote about their lights here. I picked out some that had a hint of modern, but would still go with the rustic sort of look we have going on.
They may look a little close to the ceiling, however it’s a little lower in this room anyway and they work for our set up. What’s obviously missing from this space is a mirror. That will be up next, along with putting together the vanity. We selected this one from Ikea, because it was the only one that fit the room, depth-wise. Now we have to figure out how to get that Ikea plumbing to work with our American water lines. Help?
We are both loving the ligths, we’d been using a plug in work light and portable lantern for all the {nighttime} reno in there, so this is a huge improvement.
These pictures are finally an accurate representation of the Grizzle Gray {by Sherwin Williams} wall color and the distressing on the plank wall. I’m still thinking of a place I can use that paint somewhere else in the house!
This is pretty much where the bathroom is today. After a toilet debacle, Dan ran out one night to purchase the only 10″ rough in available in stock within a 50 mile radius. So now we have a 12″ for sale, unused! Any takers? Here is where things are now.
Up next will be that vanity, sink, faucet installation. And the shower, which is pretty much a huge framed-out box right now. We have to get the plumbing moved and get supplies for the floor and tiling.
Many thanks to DecorUSA for the lights! Here is our reno to do list.
