New Years Eve Countdown Champagne Glasses
While everyone loves Christmas and all the holidays that come before New Year’s, who can resist getting dressed up and drinking champagne all night? New Year’s Eve is such a fun celebration and a way to start things fresh and new as soon as the clock hits midnight.
I made these countdown champagne glasses to celebrate the new year and enjoy some bubbly in style! I had the chance to try the Silhouette Portrait and I love how they turned out.
These are so simple to make. All you need are champagne glasses, gold vinyl, transfer paper and your Silhouette. I typed out the words on my Portrait and cut them on the gold vinyl. Transfer paper puts them on the glasses and that’s it! Easy and chic for a fun evening until the ball drops.
Plus, you’ll never forget which glass is yours!
If you space the words down from the rim, it ensures there’s no interference with drinking from them. Now I have to get more glasses to countdown even further!
And I have about a dozen more projects in mind to make with my Silhouette. I already purchased several colors of vinyl and have foil, fabric interfacing, washi tape and more items to try out with it. I’ve seen so many projects and have been wanting to try out one of the machines myself.
Even if you are not the crafty type, the Silhouettes are easy to use. I found the instructional video that comes with the machine to be very helpful. They even have a series of videos on YouTube. Now that I know how it works, look for more Silhouette fun soon!
Many thanks for the friends at Silhouette for letting me try out the Portrait.
Disclosure: I was provided with a Silhouette Portrait and various materials to review for this project. All opinions are my own.
