Last weekend I was a woman on a mission to make some serious progress in our dining room. We’ve been
putting up grass cloth wallpaper and things were progressing pretty slowly.
Until I got in there that is.
Sunday alone I finished about half the room by myself. Once this corner was up I finally had a vision of what the space will look like when it’s all done.
Once I got into it, things moved faster. I would measure and cut, then dry fit it, paste and stick. Again and again. Not so bad once large sections were done.
The room gets to much sun now that we took down the old blinds and put up the
window film. This is a view from the living room mid wallpapering.

That wall on the right is finished too. But we hit some bumps along the way. See those two small squares below the window? The old wallpaper (with paint on top of it) came right off the wall when I went over to measure it.
This isn’t a bad thing because if I would have left it on there the new paper would not have stuck. So off it came.

There you can see the old old paper, it’s some kind of greenish flower pattern, same kind I took down in the front and
side foyer. I had to strip the rest and guess what I found underneath?
The dining room’s former color. Hunter green. Oh I can hear 1994 calling.

It was quickly covered by primer 🙂
And the wallpapering continued. Wouldn’t you know it we ran out of paper? This project might never end!
