Our New {First} Headboard
I probably could have titled this post a few things. My first Craigslist score. A Dwell Studio fabric I love. What it looks like when you have 8 pillows on your bed. All of them are true and all of them could have worked!
I was so excited the other week when I made my first Craigslist purchase. I know, where have I been right? Well I have known about Craig and his list for a while but actually never purchased anything until this headboard from heaven listing showed up the other week. I had just been looking for one!
In our bedroom we don’t have a headboard. We don’t have anything hung on the walls, we don’t have an organized closet, the don’t list goes on, but one thing at a time right?
It was my plan to actually build a headboard, I was looking forward to that project. I even got the fabric and everything. I pictured something big and tall to compliment our nine foot ceilings. That plan went out the window when I scored this amazing and affordable headboard on Craiggers. I emailed hoping it was still available, and it was.
So I brought it home to my design shop dining room to get going on a new cover.
It came with a cover but it wasn’t my style plus I had this fabulous fabric I have been eyeing for months at the store and finally purchased. It’s the Cameo Ovals Bleached White by Dwell Studio. I purchased it at Joanns and I absolutely can’t wait to have it in the bedroom.
A few yards of fabric later and a giant map project in the background spoiler,
I had a new fabric headboard. We’ve never had one before, I feel like such a grownup 🙂
Now just as soon as I get things up on the walls it will look even better.
P.S. The color of the bedroom walls is Flint Smoke by Behr, bedding is from Bed, Bath & Beyond and Marshalls, curtains are from Ikea.
