Alright friends, I need to warn you before you read another word. What you are…
Painted Closet, High Gloss Ceiling
Happy August! Can you believe it? Summer is slowly coming to a close. But that’s OK with me because I am really looking forward to the fall this year, are you?
Since I’ve been teasing you long enough with the closet project, it’s about time to show you another update.
After the drywall was up and mudded, I spent three evenings painting. And I ran out of paint twice. How does that happen? I’ll never know because I swore I had enough. I finished off one container of ceiling paint and use 3/4+ of a gallon of white on the walls so I had to get more. These walls were a paint sponge. Guess that happens with new drywall, even if it was primed.
We did the walls in satin white.

And the ceiling in glossy deep blue, technically Observatory by Behr in gloss.

You can see the gloss just a little bit in this photo below, but I’m hoping it will show up more once I make the light fixture.
Once I got off the ladder after trimming it at .00027 miles an hour {took me about 50 minutes since I’m not a trim taper}, I looked up and thought “Drama” I love it.

Oh yea and I strained the right half of my back muscles after holding the brush and roller above my head for an hour. Who knew you could sprain a muscle painting? Only me I tell ya.
Now that it’s all painted, guess what happens next?

Ooooh, I’m very interested to see what storage solution you come up with!! 🙂
looking great! and yes, I’ve sprained muscles painting. ouch!
Can’t wait to see what you do with the closet!
