Happy Monday. Do you sometimes need a weekend from your weekend? I do. I started…
Painted Dining Room
Hello all. Hope your week is going along nicely. The summer is slowly coming to a close isn’t it? I am A-OK with that because fall is just around the corner. I even asked The Chef if I could light the fall candle yesterday but he wouldn’t let me. Soon enough though.
What we did get to do sans fall candle was decide on a color and paint the top half of the walls in the recent dining room makeover project. The highlight of this project, besides that I’m falling in love with the color is that we don’t have a ceiling trim line anymore. Yes, sadly our dining room had the trim line from when we painted the ceiling more than a year ago. Meaning we hadn’t yet painted the room and it was like leftover paint smears on the walls.
All this time. So embarrassing.
But thankfully Martha Stewart’s Driftwood Grey paint came to the rescue. Painting is one of my favorite things to do on a Friday night at 10:30pm, isn’t it yours? Here is a sneak peek.

The more I look at these walls the more I like the driftwood grey paint color. And you know what I have a feeling it might be because the paint is flat. This is the first room I did in a flat finish. Do you have any flat walls, what do you think of them? I think I’m going to have to flat paint more often.
The dining room project list updates:
Select a paint color for the top half of the room and paint
Remove blinds and clean windows
I swear that list gets longer every time I look at it. Now we just wait for the wallpaper.
Love the color and it looks delightful with the wood. 🙂
