Happy Monday all. How was your weekend? Did you get a lot of things done,…
Progress in the Side Foyer
Sometimes my hubs and I text each other during the day to make plans for the evening. One time I told him my plan was to put up the shelves and hooks in the side foyer I’d been working on. So imagine my surprise when I came home to find them up on the wall.

There is some storage for reuseable grocery bags and a bowl for keys.

There is one glitch in the project. We were going to knock into the part of the wall that juts out to make some shoe shelves but we’re not 100% on what’s back there and won’t know until we demo the bathroom in the basement so we’re leaving it for now.
I added a little shelf for some organization.

At a glance here is the right side of the space before and now.

And the left side before and now.

I say we’ve made some good progress don’t you think?
I still would like to hang some things up on the walls perhaps. The space gets little light so I’m thinking a mirror if it will look good. What do you think I should put up?
i think it looks great! 🙂 i love that paint color and the shelves. kudos to the hubs for surprising you with that!
Looks great! What a difference! And what a good hubby you have 😉
I know you’ve posted about the name of the paint color you chose, but I can’t locate it. Can you tell me what brand and color name it is?
I love crossing things off the to-do list.
It looks so fresh! WHat a difference paint and some hooks can make. And don’t you just love checking things off your to do list??
You should definitely add some things to the shelves to busy them up a bit. I would recommend some lower items (small milk vases or white ceramics maybe?) to add height differential. You could also put in some photos to add some life to the shelves.
I just came across your blog and can’t wait to read more! I’m your newest follower
Thanks for the sweet comments! Mrs. T the top paint color is Flint Smoke by Behr from Home Depot. The bottom is out of the can base white in Satin.
InteriorGroupie, thanks for the follow! Yes I need to frame some photos for the shelves. Great suggestion.

looks great!
and you could stand a small mirror up against the wall behind the key bowl; great for checking hair on the way out, etc., and will fill in that area.
