Since we only moved into our house a few months ago I'm still getting used…
Summer Mantle from the Beach
Hello friends! Thanks so much for putting up with the terrible pictures of the master closet makeover project yesterday. I hope they didn’t scar you away. We’ve been hard at work getting that plaster out of there, I’ll post an update soon.
Since they were some serious before shots, today I’d love to show you some prettier photos, my summer mantle.

This season I realized I has some coastal decor so I brought it all together to simplify the mantle from the map wall look of the spring. First up, the blue shutters, which I recently sanded down a bit to clean them up. I love the layered look of them.

The framed coral is my favorite part. It was a decorative item I picked up at TJ Maxx, spray painted white and pressed it into a thrifted frame.
The little rope bag is actually from decorative balls I got at Ikea but I thought it looked a bit like a fishing net so on the mantle it went. See even packaging can be decor.

The coral is from Save on Crafts and the candles got a little rope skirt. In the fireplace I placed our lanterns, straight from the sea! Or Ikea if you are a good item spotter 🙂

This was the scene during the photo shoot otherwise. I have curly hair in real life 🙂

While we are looking around, here is a view of the foyer from the staircase.

Since Life Begins at Thirty and The Stucco Bungalow wanted to see more of my vestibule off the foyer, particularly its floor, this one’s for you girls.

And that ends our day at the beach! And I’ve proven not all our walls are covered with paneling and cedar board, thankfully :-)~ Have you brought some summer fun into your home?

[SIGH] white painted brick, warm wood trim & beautiful vintage tile (be still my beating heart). So much original character!
P.S. Can I come live in your foyer?
Love your summer mantel! Very chic & simple!! You did a great job!! Also looking forward to seeing your closet renovation!! New follower!!
