Y'all, I promise you I'll show lots of pretty pics of my place just as…
Wall Shelves in Bedroom
Hello! Hope you are having a lovely week. I’ve been doing so many projects around here and spent some time cleaning out my blog last week. I read through {well I’m still reading through} all my previous posts and have found all kinds of things I want to write about. Now I have a huge list of projects I never showed you how to make when I made them. Make sense? The list is looooong. Do you ever read through your past posts?
So I might as well get started and write about them huh? I feel like I owe you!
One of the projects was some wall shelves I put up in our master bedroom. Even though we’ve been in this house almost two years, I’m still hanging things up. We’ve had pictures and all kinds of decorations around and I love getting them up on the wall, it makes things look and feel so complete.
These are shelves I had from Ikea, which I spray painted in white. They don’t sell them in white, just black and birch I think. Thank goodness for spray paint. Saving the day again 🙂
I thought the space next to our window was a perfect size for these. Putting the right sized wall hangings in the appropriately-sized space really makes things look well balanced and proportioned.
I love the presence hanging things up brings. Finally, decorations on the wall.
Since I hate to put lots of holes in our plaster, this gives us a way to change the display without hanging anything.
The floral print on the right is a Tiffany postcard that I enlarged and printed. I love Tiffany work. This print is actually a window that he designed which is in the Morse Museum in Florida. We visited a few years ago. It is beautiful there.
The I have always known it was you print is from Row Boat Press. Although it doesn’t look like they still have it for sale. The black chest is a Target global bazaar find a few years ago. Remember the global bazaar?
Ahh, one project down, dozens to go! Any wall hanging going on at your place?
So pretty. I agree, the shelves work perfectly in that space and I LOVE the “I have always known it was you” print.
What a great zen space! Love the shelves where you’ve put them. Perfect!
You’re right, the size is perfect for this space! Great artwork.
Pretty and simple designed room and shelves. The grey and light colors complement each other.
What color did you use on the walls?, I love it!
