Hello there! I am so thrilled to be here today at Decor Adventures today. Somehow, when we all attended the Haven Conference last month in Atlanta, there were a group of us that just seemed to gravitate together. It was a little strange how there were some people I saw again and again, and some that I never saw at all! I’m so glad that Jessica is one of the ones that I kept running into.

My name is Breida and I am blogging over here at breida with a b. My blog is relatively new, but I am so happy to have found a home here in the community of bloggers. Those fans that I hear from seem to be loving the projects I come up with, the photos that I take, and mostly (to my surprise) the writing that I do. I’ve been at it for about 5 months and any minute now, I will come up with a concise answer to the question I keep getting asked, “What do you blog about?”

What do I blog about? Well, I guess Home and Garden is the easiest answer. I write about projects that I take on in my home, in my garden, and in my life! I’m just doing what comes naturally while I try to take the ideas I have crowding up my mind and make them into reality. I hope that you’ll come and visit me – you can subscribe to my blog via email and you can also follow me on Facebook and Pinterest. If you look around any of those three places, you’ll start to get a better idea of what I’m all about!

Let me give you a quick little tour of a few of my most popular blog posts – you know – just a little of the flavor that you might find if you started visiting me regularly! What shall I share with you? Hmmm . . . how to choose . . . How about this? I made a list the other night of all of my projets that have been featured on other blogs. Here are a few of them. Someone liked them. . . maybe you will too!

First of all, since it is STILL summertime – it is still summertime you know – even if all of your magazines and catalogs are telling you it’s already Fall – I did this post on the most delicious lemonade I’ve ever had. I made it myself with a great simple syrup recipe and like a lot (but not all) of my posts I told a nice story to go along with it. Here are a couple of the photos – to tempt you – and you can read the full post (complete with charming story about my childhood) here.

This next post was not actually featured on anyone else’s blog but I am very proud of the photos. These are all taken in the field behind my house – otherwise known as my backyard. It shows. . .well, it shows you where I’m coming from. This place has a lot to do with what I’m all about. I love it here. This post and these pictures might show you a little bit about why I love it so much. This next post is about the annual arrival of our friend the farmer, who comes to mow our field for hay.

The next post I’d like to share with you (are you getting tired of me? have I already gone on too long?) was a project on which I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Unless you are quite new to the DIY blog world, you have likely heard at least a little about this wonder paint. Here is the before and after shot – can you believe what a little paint can do? I’d love to know what you think of it.

One last project to show you. This has been, by far, my most popular to date. Small bloggers like me get very excited about things like this! I am so pleased with the way this one turned out and with the response that all of my readers had when I posted it on breida with a b.

This vintage yardstick coat rack is both useful and beautiful. Those two attributes in combination really push my buttons! Please, visit my site and tell me if you like it as much as I do. You can tell me if you don’t like it, too. But honestly, I’d rather if you kept that to yourself. . . . 🙂
