Well there technically is no chapter 1 for the chair, but I'm considering my finding…
A Year Long Chair Makeover
You know how sometimes projects you intend to do get pushed off for a while? I mean a really long while, like after getting engaged, buying a house, moving, getting married long while? That’s what happened to this cute little chair I got free from a neighbor many moons ago. Turns out good things come to those who wait, because I’ve finally finished this long-delayed chair makeover.

This was my first time sewing double welting and although I don’t think I did it 100% correct, I don’t think it came out too bad either. I’ll just have to practice more.

The frame was painted in semi gloss white, it came out nice and bright just as I hoped. For you before and after lovers, here is a fun collage I put together on Picnik, which I’m enjoying playing with more.
Have you ever completed a year-long project? Anything you’ve got waiting that you want to get to? Any super double cording or button tutorials I need to check out?

Great job… especially considering it was your first time tackling a lot of those things! 🙂 I have quite a few year + projects sitting in our garage that I need to get around to… uggghhh… maybe I’ll persuade B to start some of them for me tonight haha 😉
The gray striped wall totally made me go oooooo! I recently made a post about wanting to do gray stripes in my future office and its nice to see how gorgeous it will look!
very nice! I just purchased my first upholstering project :/ This turned out really nice. It looks great with your wall treatment and floors!

I think you did a fantastic job, and it was my pleasure to feature your project this weekend. 🙂
Thanks so much for joining my Weekend Bloggy Reading party (and for linking back-I appreciate that!). Hope you’ll stop by Serenity Now again soon. 🙂
Oh, I love the new look! Great job. I have a chair I bought a few months ago, waiting on me to show it some love. Thanks for the inspiration!
